In a AU of World of Warcraft of my worgen character Christopher retires from the Alliance as a front line warrior once the reclamation of Gilneas was complete. As a committed sign he would no longer wield his blade, he plunged the blade into the ground on the corner stone of his new home. Years passed and roses grew, the tired worgen rests on the stone after a hard early morning in the fields. With many pups to raise and feed, the tired former warrior now rests his weary head on the hilt of his blade. While tired he is in his new, he wouldn't trade it for the world.

And then one day bandits come and kill his whole family and he has to take the sword up again to avenge them...or he dies trying to protect his family and one of the surviving pups (either the firstborn or the youngest - never the middle child) will take it and swear vengeance upon it.
That's usually how these stories tend to go.

I love the idea of a warrior having a quiet retirement (or noisy, depending on how big they grow their family)... and this is a lovely expression of that idea.
I would love to see more of this Worgen fellow living out his peaceful life, doing things that are small, growing and finding happiness in what he has.
