I love that reptile.
Al they are cold blooded, don't they have a problem with their tail exposed in cold weather?

Reptile (and all the other reptilians like him) is homoiothermal. His body temperature can be compared to mammals.
So, when it's cold he needs to dress warmly!!

And good question about the tail. The tail scales are a bit thicker and reflect the cold better. But if he would be in the cold for days, he would need some tail protection too.

Perhaps a nordic dog or wolf would be a good companion for reptiles, especially for long winter walks.
It wouldn't be suitable for summer :D

Well, Reptile using footwear. That's a first. Yes, this is probably the heaviest he's ever dressed. And yes, it makes sense in this weather. :D

It's all leather and fur... strapped all around his body parts! ^^ And yeah, he needs to keep warm.

To be fair, we don't actually see his feet. But they're probably wrapped up too. :)

Wait a minute. That's not his usual weapon. Dragonclaw is five-pronged, IIRC.

I'm the only one who caught that, didn't I? I guess that's not exactly a weapon for hunting animals.

The DRAGONCLAW is a battle pole arm weapon. It's useless if you want to hunt animals or other beasts. That's why Reptile's using a rather normal spear... a big one... but still a spear.

Useless? Well, it's still a big piece of sharp metal, but I can see how it's not ideal for hunting.

Indeed. It's not ideal because it slices and hacks through the beast... not leaving anything. We don't want a pile of meat... we want the beast to be in one piece!

I can't help but to think that Reptile might be a bit ambivalent about hunting this particular creature. If the footprint is anything to go by, it probably resembles a dragon, Reptilian, or other creature similar to himself, but quadrupedal. And plantigrade, like his wife and daughter's feet are.

I leave the beast and its shape to your imagination. ^^

Sure thing. And I guess I'll imagine that he doesn't want to kill it, whatever it is. Maybe it has children too. Just my take on it. :)

To ease your consciousness:
It's just a beast and they hunt it for food. Their families need meat to survive the winter. ^^

Man, Reptile's bicep cannot be contained by the leather strap on his upper arm. That suede armament is hanging on for dear life... you can just tell that every time Reptile moves his arm in any direction, that strap is going to be creaking and snarling under the forceful tension of all that Reptile muscle meat. Sounds like a job I would be good at, haha.

Doesn't Reppy's tail get cold in the winter tundra? He must have been paid a lot of money to come out with these guys, or at least have a huge amount of respect for them to join their party. Reptile species type creatures usually hate the lower temperatures. You can tell Reppy wants to be in warmer weather, he has his brow all furrowed and serious looking. "Get me off this Fcking MOUNTAIN!!!" His silent gaze says it all.

Gorgeous work with the shading underneath all of the clothing and fabric that everyone is wearing. The light source creating those shadow is extremely believable and you can just feel the wintry winds howling down your neck with every square centimeter of this piece. Nice work with the scintillating, sinking sunlight in the background. Being far up north usually has less sunlight than most other places further south, and the gray companion part of the sky is a nice clue about this impending twilight.

You can just barely make out the bulging quadriceps and upper leg Reptile Meat on Reppy's legs beneath the tight fitting cloth pants. It would make sense for a body builder like Reptile to come up into the mountains, all that bulging muscle creates heat and warmth when it moves, so he might actually be pretty comfortable under the clothing. But not every part of him is clothed, so hence the 'pissed off' look on his face lol.

Yeah, it's cold and this time we won't see much of Reptile's body... which only makes sense!!

And about the tail... the tail has thicker scales and it is less influenced by the cold. So, this part can endure the cold to an extent. Of course, he wants to get out of there!! ^^"

It´s amazing to see Reptile in a snowy area, something we don´t get to see from you, and because of that the first impression is always the best.

And I can tlel tha tyou have done a nice job with the, especially by adding slighty colors at the corners as some reflection effect from the sky thast is has these yellow greenish colors. Simply well done : D

And Reptile with leather, need to be cozy and warm if he dont wanna fall asleep like a normal reptile, right? My dragons get weaker with the cold weather by default o3o

Also I love the small hints you´re giving to narrate the story without the need of being too obvious, witht he blood and footprints are good enough elements to tell us a focus point of the small story.

Reptile isn't cold blooded. His organism functions like a mammal.
But he still can get very cold and needs warm clothing.
Though, compared to mammals the reptilians can't regulate their body temperature that quickly. He is still better than common lizards... but he also needs clothing or a warm fire.
Good to know that RULUS is usually a very warm planet... and snow is the exception.

The quest to find the "yeti" of the snowbound foreign land, a possible prey to track down. Now it's more like a challenging mission than an adventure. :3
I think the green clouds that covers the "eternal winter" can mean that something eerie and mystic is happening in the destination.

Mission... adventure... that's more or less the same. ^^
