I am happy to announce that the Jakkai info page on the Slightly Damned website has been thoroughly revised and updated!

This is the first part of my ongoing project to completely redo the World History, Cast (of characters), and Races pages of Slightly Damned. I polled my patrons for where to start, and they voted to prioritize the Races page.
I don't know how long it will take to update everything, but I will persevere. I don't like that the main Slightly Damned website has been littered with crusty placeholders for two decades. I hope that my endeavors will help make it a lot easier for people to make fan content, which I welcome with open arms!

Yes! That is exactly what I wanted to hear. More information about the Dragon Island Archipelago will be filled in the more of these info/lore pages I write. But I can tell you that it is inspired by the Philippines (which is my heritage) and the Golden Age of Piracy. I hope that gives you more inspiration as well. :3
The updated character sheet for the Jakkai race is shockingly thorough. You did an amazing job covering just about everything about them as a race from their culture to physiology, and even some general Medius lore. I wanna say thank you for your outrageous dedication to this comic. You've made it a joy to read and to learn about for so many years.

I really appreciate you revising the info and lore pages of the comic, especially since your ideas have changed quite a bit, like how you described Wind Demons as intelligent and Earth Demons not so much, but obviously nowadays you're not a big fan of Bioessentialism in fantasy

Yeah, I've changed my mind about a lot of things over the years! Experience and growth will do that for ya. I've since decided that saying which Races are more or less intelligent than each other is no good. That's why it's not a stat.
The Demon info page is the next one I'm going to tackle, but I won't start that until September at the earliest. I've got some other stuff to take care of.
And yes, once I get around to redoing the Cast page, Kinako, Sahne, Lakritz, and Tirol will finally get their place on it!

I think my choices are mostly pretty solid, but H Jon Benjamin probably isn't the best choice for cliff, same with Cree Summers and Sahne
