This was a work in progress for a long time and had to leave it alone to take care of stuff back then. I finally finished it but it ain't how I imagine it to look like. However, I'm kinda satisfied with the results. But I need to take a break from doing these overly huge projects and probably focus on smaller projects.
Eduardo wakes up one morning in the old house, unknowingly changing into a weredog. It wasn’t until he made coffee that he realized his arm was once again covered in fur. But something was off, as he had already changed into a dog a couple of hours ago.
“This is not right… I’ve already changed last night! What gives?”
Ed quickly ran into the bathroom to splash some hot water, hoping it was just a dream. A few splashes later, he was wide awake but was still changing. With an annoyed sigh, Eduardo let the process continue as he slowly transformed from a human to a shaggy beast. He could feel he wasn’t going to change into a full dog like last time, something he was thankful for. But it wasn’t just the transformation he was feeling—something was building up inside him. It felt like a swarm of butterflies moving inside of him at breakneck speed. This pressure wasn’t due to his changing body; it was more of a spiritual pressure than anything physical. He looked back into the mirror and, to his shock, noticed his hazel eyes beginning to glow.
“Is my curse getting stronger? No way. It can’t be…”
Mina and Joey both helped Eduardo control his curse and taught him everything they knew. So, there’s no way his curse could have gotten this bad. This was something entirely different. Eduardo felt a surge of spiritual pressure as his transformation reached its end. Before anything else, Ed tried to mentally recollect himself amidst a sudden headache and an odd feeling in his chest.
“I know I’m still me. I’m still thinking straight right now. But this feeling… I don’t know why…”
Eduardo looks at his paw as he slowly clench it into a fist before letting go,
“I feel like I could punch through a stone wall without touching it. ‘The hell am I saying? There’s no way I could do that, right?”
Eduardo gazed into the mirror, observing his glowing eyes filled with untapped energy for quite a while. His fascination with his reflection led him to gradually exhibit the behavior of a canine. He began to pant, watching his reflection mimic his actions, followed by a bark. Ed continued to act like a dog towards the mirror until he started growling at his reflection. As he growled, the reflection, with its glowing eyes, mirrored his actions, making it seem like Ed was confronting not just a dog, but a hellhound. This unsettling moment snapped Ed out of his trance, causing him to gasp for air in panic. Moments later, Eduardo composed himself and stopped looking at the mirror.
“I’ve… I’ve got to talk to Mina about this. She might know what’s going on. But it’s already morning. She probably asleep by now. Maybe Joey? No. He’s probably tired from last night. Man, what do I do?”
Eduardo looked at his claws, feeling the pressure in his chest and pondering what to do. He gazed outside at the forest filled with countless trees, then back at his claws, clenching them into fists.
“Okay, fine. I’ll figure this out on my own. I guess I’ll try punching this feeling away. Kinda miss my punching bag back home right now. What’s the worst that could happen?”
Eduardo, unsure of his sudden development, ventures into the woods to see if his curse has gotten stronger.
Or perhaps, Eduardo himself has grown stronger during his time in the woods.
Who knows? Only time will tell…
