Demons are creatures of the shadowy underworld, a cold and dark reflection of the world above. Their realm of shadow is connected to the material world, though not physically; separated by neither time nor distance, but by planes of reality. Tears in reality allowing travel between the realms are rare, but the material world can be subtly influenced by the underworld, and vice versa. Demons of sufficient power can pierce the veil to communicate with mortals, offering them bargains and boons in the form of contracts; the dark rituals required bringing an unknown cost to the mortals, and granting additional power and influence to the demon through the fragments of soul gathered through the ritual. A demon of great enough power will ascend to lordship, the most powerful of which can pull back the veil and step between realms.
Cerys was born to a demon lord and a dragon he chained and took from the material world during a failed incursion. Humans drove back the demons using pyromancy, the heat was unbearable to the creatures of the shadow, and the flame fatal. During the retreat, the demon lord took a dragon back to the underworld, a binding ritual and magic rendering her unable to produce flame. He took the dragoness as his concubine; the very symbol of fire and his supremacy over it. It was not thought that such a union could result in offspring, but that proved to be untrue. She died as Cerys clawed her way out during child birth.
Cerys was “cursed” with her mother’s fire, able to manifest and control flame. She was an unparalleled source of shame for her sire; she was also an unparalleled threat. A blood red gemstone was embedded into her chest, an inhibitor crystal that kept the true power of her flame at bay, tethered to her heart so that it could never be removed without killing her. She was tied to him with a binding ritual, ethereal chains around her ankles that limit her autonomy to act against him. She was never treated as the daughter and heir to a demon lord, she was paraded around as a trophy, a symbol of his power and his malice. She desires nothing more than to see him slain, ideally by her own hand.
Like many demons of the aristocracy, she is able to create illusory disguises; veiling her true self from onlookers by fooling their minds. Stronger willed individuals can sometimes see through the illusion; actions that betray her true nature make the illusion more fragile. The anthro form shown is her most preferred disguise.

I see with immense joy that you finally have found one more exciting chance to explore some darker and more atmospheric themes with her! Being honest I didn't know much about your demon girl Cerys before of seeing this marvelously updated reference sheet and her detailed lore. A cursed half dragon-demoness unable to rebel and act against who she hates the most, that horrible and cruel demon lord of the shadowy underworld that has held her in its grip since her unfortunate birth. Hopefully one day she will manage to kill the supreme lord and find freedom from those chains. Oh yes, and with her marvelous dress maybe Cerys will even find someone in the material world with feelings for her. 😊✨

I don't believe I have really delved into her lore or background of FA prior, so I think you are forgiven haha. But I have had this lore (in one form or another) in mind for a while now, and decided I wanted to redesign her into something a bit more personal to me and fitting of the head canon I had developed for her. I pity the poor unfortunate soul that might fall for her though, she has had a tragic life, but she is still a demon haha
Do not worry my friend, whether you've only recently chosen to expand her lore or not, I really appreciate reading and learning new personal information about your characters that you're so so so connected with. Always amazing when they get redesigned into something a bit more personal to you sweetie. Maybe the poor unfortunate soul that might fall for her doesn't have much left in their mortal life and only desires a long eternity next to her side, who knows~
