Hakuna Matata!
So here you can see Simba and Kovu the guardians of the Pridelands from the famous The Lion King movies.
I always wanted to make a image of that two, but with a new design that goes more into my style, one of
the best ideas features more fluff and longer manes for them.
Then you can tell that Kovu is now the new "mane event"!
You better fear thier fluffiness!
Used Edding 0,2 mm fineliner and Faber Castell coloured pencils to make this one.
I highly appreciate any comment that you might have, suggestions for improvement are always welcome!

So of course there would not be a pet, or in this case lion salon in the Pridelands, but if you may remember this, Simba really
loves it to took a bath in the first movie, so I gues that his hair always would be in a good shape!
So as for Kovu, he was the only lion of the Outlands that looks fluffy and well groomed and he also where not termite infested like his brother Nuka was!

You probably won't believe this, but the idea and the first sketch for this traditional drawing dated back in summer 2009!
Back in those days my main inspiration was anime and manga based art. So I got the idea to draw Simba and Kovu
completely new designed, in the so called bishonen style. This means they are a bit closer to each other than usual.
I also thank you kindly for loving my shading technique, you don't know what this means to me!

Wow I thought that was digital for a second there xD I'm supposed to know my arts!
You're pretty good you should try to do more of these! There are more and more helping tools available these days so that's a plus and your colors are very alive so I'd say there's talent at play! It's all very expressive ;3
