As a result of the fight with Roo which ended in a draw, Tani lost her wings, a horn, an eye and got severe evil-infected wounds, leaving her to bloodily stumble her way back to the Hazbin Hotel, helped by an inconsolable Emily.

Back at her room, she got her wounds tended by the seraphim, but angelic magic can only do much on a body made of chaos magic, so all Tani could do is rest, let her chaotic power slowly overcome the evil magic that keep her wounds open and regenerate while watched over by her girlfriend who was sharing the bed with her.

As if it wasn't enough, a certain overlord decided to investigate the rumors about a angel living at the hotel and sent a drone for that purpose. It found one room whose window was covered by unknown magic that created glitches on the feed. The Radio Demon's room? No, it was different and so Vox brought the drone closer.
But before it could potentially pierce the magic veil that was covering the window, Tani -always the light sleeper- noticed it and immediately summoned her gun to shoot it down, furious at this invasion of privacy and endangering of Emily.

While each of the 4 barrels of the weapon had a silencer equipped not to startle Emily, the glass shattering and the explosion of the drone did wake her up, giving her just enough time to see a silhouette spiral and fall down, away from the window.
