Hopkins Fides is the younger brother of Cassius Fides and of the two of them, Hopkins is definitely the more pleasant.

Cassius is a shallow opportunist who would betray anybody at the drop of a hat and is constantly trying to find any means to capitalize on any information he gets from people. Including using his own brother.

Hopkins is a self described "Treasure Expert"; He loves the mystery and lore around treasure as well as the pursuit of hunting for treasures. He studies rare and expensive artifacts with stories and history behind them and wants to be the ultimate expert appraiser of Treasure, but he should never be left alone with somebody's treasure. He has the good sense not to lie to a client in regards to value or significance of an object; Afterall he is passionate about treasure, and needs to be taken at his word if people are going to hire him for his advice as the ultimate Treasure Expert, but also he's not above taking his own cut for his services, especially if it's something very rare or has a great story behind it.
