"While it always takes some getting used to, you'll come to love wearing a powered exoskeleton!"
That artificial boost to strength can really help get the job done, even if "the job" it was initially designed for was certainly NOT hauling pounds of heavy flouffe flab around.

“Industrial sized” is definitely a good way of putting it. Gotten the impression from your work that Sorrel’s current size is the average for modern flouves. I suspect the exoskeletons won’t be sufficient within a few years, let alone a few generations, without design tweaks to specialize them toward supporting fat@$$es. And even those design tweaks will barely extend their usefulness in the long run.
Flouves seem on track to end up with each individual getting their own personal spacecraft. Because they will FILL their personal spacecrafts.

Ah, what a treat it'd be to read such a story from you, kinda like Phealgud's “Interface to Face", only with broader perspective, encompassing how flouves set out to reach the stars and, with the influx of resources and automatisation, ended up big and immobile like stars themselves, gorging and jiggling in zero-gravity.
