my favorite scene is when Tigress tells Po not to come along with them to fight shen, because she believes that he will get himself killed. It shows that she does care for him and his safety. They are both orphans, and she probably knows that he might face a lot of trauma that will get himself killed in battle.

A thousand furys of a thousand suns when I saw reviewers rating this lower then the first film, literally because its more serious then the first one, so in their eyes, less "fun"
I fucking -HATE- reviewers doing this. The story is far better in the second one, its FAR more emotional, the characters given far more depth, and its WORSE because it doesn't have as much slapstick?

Honestly, I thought the second movie was just as good, if not better than the first one when I saw it on Memorial Day this week. It was just as fun, but there was also more room put in for character development, particularly for Lord Shen, Po, and Master Tigress. It gave the movie more emotional depth and drama, which in my opinion was a great thing. :)
With that said, this is a very cute fanart pic of Po and Master Tigress together. I like it! ^_^

This is soooo cute and sweet! I mean, I loved your Master Tigress Rule 34 pics, but I think it's nice that you drew something sweet and meaningful this time rather than just yiff. They make an adorable pair! ^w^
I saw the movie too, I really loved it a lot, and I couldn't agree with you more. The did but a lot more life in the characters this time, and actually made Po bond with the Furious 5 more, which is what I originally expected him to do in KFP1, but they treated him mostly like crap and barely had much on-screen interaction with him. It was also nice how Tigress had less of an attitude towards Po this time and accepted him as one of the 5, and even told him that he was her friend and she didn't want to see him die. So it was nice that they showed her true feelings for Po in this movie, suggesting that she and Po were a possible couple. The hugging scenes were so cute, too! I loved Crane's reaction to both scenes! XD
Also, Master Shen.... mmm, yes he was awesome, but his voice seemed to get annoying for me after a while. At least, I think that's just the American version of the film! XD;;

if I may be so bold as to interveen here, as far as I know they're both Masters, well, Po being the Dragon Warrior sets him higher than Tigress, but she's still somewhere more skilled than him, being the "Iron Lady" and whatnot =P
also, loved KFP2! =D I dunno what's wrong with people saing that it's not as good as 1st one; it's clearly better than the 1st one

So, what, because Po has a crush on Tigress, those feelings are automatically reciprocated? Or because Tigress is no longer a huge bitch towards Po, they now need to end up together? No. That's not how things work in a well-written script. That'd be overly-predictable, entirely unnecessary, flat-out poor writing. Po and Tigress ending up together would feel like a copout because they didn't feel like going to the effort or whatever of pairing Po with a character who might not as "loveable" or "pretty" or "humanoid" as Tigress. Or because they were to lazy to just make another panda character, in spite of it being pretty damn clear that there are no multi-species couples or freaky hybrid children anywhere in this story's world.
Oh, and you have it kinda backwards--Tigress came to respect Po at the very end of the first film, and became friends with him during the second one.

SO ok here's the thing, UNTIL the end of the second movie we all thought and the characters still do think he is the last panda.
So if he had to love someone why not someone that he has always looked up to?

Again, liking someone does not mean they need to end up liking you back, that's the thought process of sleazy fratboys, young girls and bad writers. And hey, here's an idea--maybe the others can find out at some point that he's not the last one.
And yeah, it would be lazy. It'd basically be like "Okay, let's pair the two main characters together, just because." It would be pairing them up out of obligation. And honestly, I cannot see them being compatible as a couple. Love this! Also congrats on being perhaps the only artist (that I've noticed anyway) that has depicted Po and Tigress wearing those sandal- things on their feel that they have in the film. Oh, have you heard that Dreamworks is considering up to a total of six films in the series? Unfortunately that could mean that the Tigress/Po relationship thing could be dragged out slowly in the series.
Tis a very sweet pic of a very sweet moment, I agree with Danza, FA needs more art like this.
And although I don't think the movie implied all that much, its been the first time for an animated movie that ive actually wanted to know more about them and secretly hoped for a romantic (and i mean romantic rather than adult) side movie about the pair.
