I have similar nightmares, world ending apocalypse and monsters hunting me down and all that jazz. Meanwhile my husband's worst nightmare was, according to him, a dream in which he overslept for his final exams 😭 Tbh I take the apocalypse and monsters

Strangely enough, I don't really mind my nightmares. A lot of these are clearly inspired by horror movies and horror game I played, so in a weird way, they're actually kinda fun? Hard to describe xD And apocalyptic nightmares I find fascinating, even with that sense of incoming doom. What I hate is sleep paralysis and the type of dreams where something happens and I wake up still carrying that feeling as if it was real. Yours sounds absolutely terrible, I'm sorry you experienced that!

My late wife used to jostle me awake, telling me I was 'Growling' again! (Sure wish I remembered just wth I was dreaming when it happened, but I never really did).

Now it's usually my vocal Husky, dreaming, who wakes me and the catto up at any/all odd hours. I swear he's Nature's diabolical 'Joker' alarm clock in canine form?!

Ohh I know about the Husky Scream™ 😭 I can't imagine waking up to that siren every morning, our two cats meowing behind the bedroom door are loud enough!

A similar thing happened to me while playing a game with my dutch friend. I was tired and accidentally switched to czech without realizing. I repeated the same thing like four times before my friend pointed out he can't understand czech xD
