It's been a while since i showed off more Likaya. I wanted to show off other Likaya and i figured a picture of Sal's girlfriend would be fun to show off some of their fashion and lore.
In nomadic communities, Likaya still hold on to a lot of their old customs. However old customs and new ways of thinking change over time, most times for the better. Same sex marriage use to be frowned and ridiculed about 500 years ago, and even intersex Likaya had to conform to a mono lifestyle based on their body's appearance alone. Those old ways of thinking died out or are ridiculed by newer generations ages ago, but clothing from then are still used and worn today.
Sal's GF, Ana'Lea, sports a traditional outfit made by their clan for women to wear in the colder seasons. it incorporates many owl motifs and images from the eyes, silhouettes, and even feathers of owls. The front legs are wrapped in a wool, straight skirt to keep them warm, while the rest of the lower body is draped in another type of skirt to trap warm air inside as they move. Many of the material for this dress is made from the clans livestock or animals they hunt. The only few things that are not made by the clan are anything metal or modern, like her boots and nylon leggings.
Sal on the other hand is a scout and hunter, and she dresses with more modern clothing bought from towns or cities on the equator of their world. though she accessories with leather pouches and charms made by her clan, as well as a embroidered patch made by Ana as a gift that she wears on her pant's right rear leg proudly.
I'm honestly very proud and in love with my Likaya race and hope to explore them more and share more details about them to others here. though i feel my description of their outfits are a bit lack luster (i kept this image hidden for maybe almost all year?)

Thank you! ^_^ I love them as well, and the outfits are amazing. The traditional outfit is my favorite. I believe we used a mini poncho, a outfit from a character from Witcher 3, and some winter outfits from a cosplay outfit ref. Color wise we used some pre-made color palettes i found that i felt would work for her outfit. though i gave Gab, the artist, creative freedom on Ana's design.
