Days have passed since I was turned into an April O'Neil in the comic book series and I got to admit, it was starting to get a little annoying. While I got to admit, being April is cool. But living in the comic book world can be a bit frustrating. Whether it be me skipping a full animation for walking, but bobbing of people walking, the cars and subways gliding without moving the wheels, and multiple speech bubbles popping around me when someone wants to talk. What makes it worse is that I never got a chance speaking with the Turtles as they were always gliding in the shadows, like they don't want to talk to me. It was quite a mess.
Don't get me wrong, being April is quite the experience, but it isn't an experience I was expecting. Holding onto my Nikon camera I was walking down the sidewalk with each step skipping a full blown animation. I sighed where a speech bubble over my head responding to the sigh. This isn't the world I wanted to be? I wanted to be in a world where I can fully walk, where no speech bubbles appear over my head when I speak, where the world is lively and not static, where I can actually speak with the turtles. That's where I want to be. And there are plenty of realities that April live in, where I can live in. And out of all the worlds, I feel like being April in the 1987 cartoon seems like a better place to be. If only I can live in it and not in a comic world.
As I was walking, I felt a tingle and wonder that was. It was then I can feel myself moving freely as the skips seem to lessen. I stopped and I looked to my hands and flexed my fingers. I can see that it was getting more animated and I can see them bending and unbending with east. It was then that my body is fully animated again and I couldn't help but to feel relieved by it. I then said something and noticed that I have no speech bubble anymore. I finally I have a voice that comes out of my mouth. With a full body and a voice, I am glad that I don't have to worry about the jagged comic animation. But as I was happy with this, the one question still remains. How did this happen?
Looking ahead, I can see that the comic world was starting to melt and twist around like a living painting as nothing is distinguishable. It's just like before when I was back at the convention when that was changing into that cringy comic world. While I am happy that I can leave that wretched world, I wonder where it will take me now.
But then, suddenly, I feel something heavy in my hand. Looking to my hand, I could see that my Nikon camera was growing and getting bulky with a handle growing in the bottom and a built in microphone on the top. Seeing the lens getting bigger and the mechanics rearranging, I could tell that this photo camera become a video camera custom made for news reporter.

Does that mean...
Looking down my body, I noticed that my attire was changing as my body was switching animated styles. I could see her Demin jacket and pants were gaining a yellow color and spreading up my legs, down my arms, and across my back. The jacket itself closed off and covered my obnoxious orange turtleneck shirt as the turtleneck itself sinking down my chest and making it non existence and the sleeves shrink up to my elbows, showing a bit of my skin and cleavage. The pants and jacket altered and merged together into one as a white belt magically materialized and wrapped around my waistline while pockets materialized on my chest. Even my muddy brown boots brightened and white boots. A white watch soon materialized on my left wrist and tighten around it. Ruffling my hair, I can feel it brightened to brown as the style uncurled itself and was looking wavy while my face slightly altered and the red lipstick lightened to a shade of pink. As the changes are complete, I went from the comic version of April O'Neil to the cartoon variety of April in 1987.
My smiled grew wide and was amazed that I have become the most popular April within the franchise. All dressed in a bright yellow jumpsuit holding her camera, I was elated and loved this new look. As I look ahead, I can see that the world has altered and solidified as it now looks like the New York from the 1987 cartoon with a big building of Channel 6 in the middle of it. Seeing that, I was excited that I can now live in the world of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles that I grew up with. And now as April O'Neil in this world, I can be with the turtles and go on many adventures with them.
I soon heard a beeping in my pocket and took it out to see what it is. That's when I could see the classic turtle shell communicator in my hand. Seeing that, I knew what it means and opened it up to see Leo's face on it.
"Hey April. We need your help. Can you come to our base? It's important."
Seeing Leonardo's face and heard his voice, I couldn't help but to smile at the fact that I can finally hang out with the turtles after getting stuck in a world where they weren't friends with her. With a smile, I said to him, "Sure thing, Leo. I'm on my way!"
Closing the communicator, I ran ahead and headed straight towards the turtle's lair. Even after a few days stuck in the comic world, I know that I am going to have a best time in my life.
