I have been wanting to make a MalO OC for a long time, years even.
I wasn't sure how to make him different or interesting outside of the main lore.
Only recently, his character started falling together.

I had a lot of fun making his backstory, I hope people enjoy him. ^,..,^

He started off as a normal SCP-1471 MalO installed on a simple smartphone locked away at the Foundation. Then, one day, his phone was chosen to be run through SCP-914 the Clockworks on the Very Fine setting. The resulting transformation released him into the real world. He stepped out of the Clockworks holding the phone installed with his app. He remained docile and willing to cooperate with the researchers.

After many days of tests and experiments, it was discovered that if someone held his phone, MalO would transform according to what they wanted him to look like. He would still appear in the wolflike MalO form, but his size, gender, height, mass etc. would alter according to the wants and desires of what the person holding the phone would want MalO to be. When MalO was in control of the phone, he would revert to his base form and could not change his shape.

He was given the nickname Flux, meaning “constant change”

Flux was given a simple elastic jumpsuit that could stretch and adjust to whatever size Flux became. Flux could teleport to wherever his phone was. If his phone was in a location he couldn’t reach, the phone would teleport to him after a period of time of not being used. Flux could also be summoned by pressing the Home button of the device. The smartphone was found to be indestructible and could not be powered off or have its battery removed. Function wise, the phone worked like any other. Able to make calls and texts, but the only other app installed on it was the MalO app.

As years passed, Flux grew bored of the constant experiments and the limiting confines of the Foundation. He desired other human companionship and to explore the outside world. One night, he was able to make his escape during a violent containment breach of SCP-682. During the scramble of security forces to deal with the rampage, Flux was able to flee into the surrounding wilderness. Being a MalO, he craved human interaction, and so eventually made his way into a city. He tries to keep his phone close to him, but it will occasionally be found and he would reveal himself to whoever found it. Flux will find himself with a new “Master” would will alter his shape until he is able to get his phone back. Some humans he has grown attached to and will even willingly allow them to use his phone with consent.

The Foundation eventually discovered that he had escaped, so Flux tries to keep a low profile as he travels. Depending on the form he is forced into, that can prove difficult at times. Hard to miss a kaiju sized wolf monster with a skull face looming over the city. For now, Flux does his best to stay undercover while still interacting with people who he feels could use his companionship.

Let’s just hope the Foundation never manages to track him down.
