Over a year ago i actually had the experience of being hospitalized in a psychiatric hospital for my bipolar disorder. it really wasn't the most wonderful experience i've ever had, i really wouldn't want to be in that place again. the worst part of it all was the inability to do much of anything and the total silence (except for shrieks, sobs, etc. from other patients).
its hard to sleep with such sterile ceilings; its like the only thing they know is how to make you into statistic- for as much as it is a social science, health beckons while the bark changes, the house still creaks the same just a different set of names.
