Personal project to wind down from working on commissions all day!! I'm trying to learn to use color and lighting in more coherent and dynamic ways and this was a little test to apply some of the things I've learned so far. Honestly? The composition on this is a lot better than some of my other stuff, I'm happy with my practice for angular interiors and furniture items. The lighting feels like it has a lot more depth when I start integrating the surface bounce aspect (wow!!! crazy!!) and I'm just overall happy with the pose and anatomy in general. Of course I have a lot to improve on still but I'm liking the steps I'm taking!!

As a fallen angel, Eden has a demonic form that was created as he fell from heaven. His winged feathers burned away and he violently gouged the stigmata into his body in his delirium and pain. While he can still take the form of a mortal man, his 'natural' form is this. He will sometimes use this form to extort believers for personal gain, pretending to be a saint or the second coming of Christ- whichever he thinks is more believable to his victims.
