...Just kidding, I'm just a tourist :3 But they let me stand up here and look all authentic and stuff!
I've been pretty fascinated with a bunch of ancient cultures lately, from Egypt to Göbekli Tepe to the Indus River Valley to ancient China, but the one I've really seemed to be settling on the most is the Mesoamerican cultures, particularly the Aztecs! There's just such a unique aesthetic that they were beginning to develop that was completely outside of the influence of the culture of Asia, Africa, and Europe, and it's so cool to learn about how things grew and began to take shape in such different ways in the beginning. Unfortunately, the Spanish had to come over and screw everything up, completely and violently destroying their culture and stopping it from being anything it could have been today. What could have been...
Anywho, I do think I want to take influence for the themes and aesthetics of this culture going forward for some of the lore I'm building. It's really fun!
