Well, seeing as I set myself up with an account and all, I thought I'd go ahead and post a sketch or two. This one is fairly old, and I personally don't think too highly of it. I based it off of a frame from "The Animatrix", which was also of a rough sketch, compounded with the qaulity of the still, both contributing to the over-all lack-luster quality of the sketch you see before you. I am working on improving myself artistically though, so hopefully it won't be long before I post some orignal, decent work.

You know? I've been postulating how "Robot Butlers" might work and come to be accepted in future high end households. One design I thought up while I was in College, (Many, many moons ago.) looked like an ornate piece of furnature that stood quietly in a corner until it was needed. I wonder if folks would paint facial features on their "Service Droids" to make them seem more "Human?" -More like a member of the family?
Robots in the household are kinda hit-and-miss. I personally prefer the more mechanically oriented machines, as I have an affinity for them and I'm a bit of a gadget freak. I'm sure companies will try to make their machines more "aesthetic", but there has to be a good deal of functionality as well. As it turns out, humanoid forms aren't perfect for EVERY job, so there will likely be at least the option of a humanoid for general-purpose chores, and the "smart appliances" that are more geared towards certain tasks.
