Oh. I was picturing some depressing dark place for goth girls to get together and sulk... like a party, except they're having the opposite of fun.
Skulkatorium makes more sense to have next to those labs, AND is still awesome... poor lighting in rows and rows of shelves, loaded with mysterious boxes filled with stuff best not asked about... creepy lab assistants skulking around in the shadows carrying around materials for their experiments, occasionally giggling maniacally.
OH! ...and OF COURSE there has to be random spooky noises! Inexplicable creaks and pops, crashing sounds with no apparent cause, skittering of little critters... like that.
