Summary:

It took a great deal of time and trust for Nuria. All too often, those who come to understand her true origin turn away. The dividing line between Artificial and Organic, Synthetic and Natural: Even with the most delicate maneuvering, true acceptance was a most elusive foe. Always, her Synthetic nature caused division and left her feeling distant from others. Detached and lacking: Physically, Spiritually, Emotionally. With her own species, her parents, nature itself, and even within her own mind, this obstacle, whether muted or glaring, always held firm.

Amendelwyr had, through time and patience, shown herself to be different. To have a capacity to look through what was engineered: Beyond the wall that even Nuria had limited herself to. Despite its presence, Amendelwyr chose to see the dragoness, not for what she was programmed to be, but for who she had chosen to become. To believe in the goodness of her heart(s) and recognize the love that Nuria had for Life. For Friendship. For Family.

As an only child with genetics of synthetic (and highly controversial) origin, Nuria had never thought of someone offering, freely and willingly, to consider her as an equal. Much less, to call her a Sister: A member of the family, even if not by blood.
