I feel like this is a good time for a quick pointer: If you get in a situation where you are bowling against someone who can palm a 16 pounder... leave as quickly as possible.

Here a few ideas to get you started:
1. Pick up anything, mime listening intently, shout, "My house is on fire?! I've got to leave!" and then run out.
2. Quickly explain you're a practicing Unitarian and that you don't believe in "bowling". (Mime air quotes for emphasis, if appropriate.) Slip out quickly.
3. Run for the nearest window, door or thin exterior wall. Flail your arms and scream if the mood suits you. Clothing optional. Please note: going clothing optional raises the difficulty level of this maneuver and is largely illegal in most jurisdictions.
