AHH!! Notice the deadly 'raptor like' dagger toe on the front leg of the warrior in back, ready to rip flesh to shreds and drain the bowels of any opponent careless enough to get too close. Love the ripped, zero-percent body fat that the monster in back has. You could fondle and caress his belly until the midnight sun dips below the horizon, they look absolutely delicious. Good attention to the muscular ridge and bulge of the quadricep muscle in his leg, he is putting a significant amount of weight on it while holding his posture, and you showed that very realistically.

Good use of movement slashes near the bladed tail, you can tell that the creature in back is waving his tail point over and back, swishing and swashing in a pendulum motion, daring his opponent to get within striking distance.

Interesting use of a multi-eyed design on the fighter towards the bottom of the image, seems like he can detect movement in a 360 degree motion around his head. Could be useful in fighting someone with a tail long enough to strike from both ends of his body. Those enormous, nasty sharp looking teeth are likely to be of use against that tail his enemy has. One catch with those chompers, and that thing is 'bye bye'. Powerful, long shoulder spikes seem to be a good counter-attack option, could even be used for blocking and then striking during the brief push-back period of a forward assault or parry.

Whew, this encounter would be amazing to see fleshed out in an anime battle, complete with colors, motion, and voice acting. We can dream about it, can't we?

Yep, the Kivva in the background has raptor claws and two tails with sharp blades... he's a real predator. Well spotted! ^^
And it's not unusual for Kivva to have more than two eyes.

I am planning on finishing this concept in the future... but I can't tell if this sketch will be used in the end.

I love seeing the animalistic brutality at work here, the evil glare in each of the adversaries' eyes. I've been playing some dungeon horror crawler game called Fear and Hunger and some of the monster designs take inspiration from H.P. Lovecraft's work, and he would insert some animal features into his demons, like his demon Chaugnar Faugn.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but these two are the same kind of species? The one on the upper left looks like a wingless gryphon with the feet of a raptor, and 2 lizard tails with bone-spear tips, while the one on the bottom right looks like a crab (Zerg Guardian, if you've ever seen those) with an eldritch head. I find the fight scene really cool, but looking at it, and then reading the description just tickles my brain. ^ ^

They are both animals called Kivouachians. But just like humans, they come in (very) different shapes and sizes! ^^
You could also compare it to "insects"... or "fish"... there are thousands of different insect races or fish races.
And the name "Kivva" is the main description of them all.

BUT it's cool that it tickled your brain and it's fun talking about it. ^^
