Proudly Canadian. The books written and published in Canada. The animated series, again, animated and voiced by Canadians. The Graphic Novel. Once again, Kenneth Oppel ensures Canadian talent goes into it. Surprised (and thrilled) the majority of people on DeviantArt voted for this against two smash hits.
I've been a fan of the Silverwing books since I was a kid.
No. This has nothing to do with game of thrones. Whenever I type in the series name in google search these days, I expect this series, but instead, I get Silverwing the dragon from game of thrones on every inch of the screen. I know it's lightyears more known and popular, but it's highly inconvenient.
In retrospect, my opinion on the animated series remains the same. The animated series took too many liberties when adapting from the books (as is far too common when wattering the dark layers down in animation). Yet the artstyle and designs for the bats were unique and fun. I would love to see this revived one day and taken more seriously. To this day, we still haven't gotten a season 2 revolving around Sunwing (deemed by many the best book in the series) and I have yet to read the graphic novel.
What do you guys think? Do you have experience with the Silverwing series? If you have any opinions or personal experiences, feel free to share them.

Oh, didn't know about their nation of origin. That said, found this as a cartoon, and tracked down the books later. For young reader books, they could get rather dark, and the overall tone is all over the place. Still, it was a fun cartoon, and the books are quite well done, with one of the best depictions of an positive afterlife I think I've ever seen.
