Here we are again with another lore update. Don't worry I don't plan on spam posting these. Just haven't had the spark of inspiration or art for new stories yet. But I have something on the way. There are many creatures in the depths of the sea. Strange creatures like the blobfish. Or fascinating creatures like the mantis shrimp. But people don't often talk about the monsters that could bite a boat in half. The serpents that slip through the waves like a heated knife through butter. Ava is one such creature.

Ava wasn't a bad kid growing up. She got ok grades, and didn't get in trouble. But it didn't matter to her parents. They always loved her big sister Ness more after all. They always denied favoritism but didn't do much to hide it. Ness always got the more expensive gifts. Ness got the brand new guitar. Ness got the fancy clothes. Ness was always asked what she wanted before Ava. Ava eventually started lashing out. Getting into fights at school, skipping classes, smoking. But nothing she did could get her parents to care about her. A siren songstress who was happy to see Ness take up guitar. And a kraken father who was too busy to care about more than one kid. It was no wonder Ava always got second priority to her sister.

But Ness on the other hand still cared. Their parents treated her better, sure but Ness always remembered the fun times with Ava growing up. Her sister and her best friend. Seeing her lash out hurt Ness. But instead of punishing her or yelling at her like their mother would. She gave Ava her old Bass guitar and taught her to play. Doing her best to keep their relationship good. But it didn't really matter in the end. Eventually the pot boiled over and Ava exploded. She couldn't take it anymore. So after one last argument she packed up her stuff and ran from home taking her guitar with her. Heading out to Australia so she could be alone. Of course it didn't take long for Ness to move out after that. And the popularity of the Loch Ness monster became a worldwide hit. Even among humans. Ava was always second best.

One day on another of the manors vacations she met Hoshi and almost immediately hit it off. With Hoshi asking if Ava could come with them and mistress Miyuki saying yes. It didn't take long for the two of them to play together. Ava on Bass and Hoshi on drums. Starting up what would one day be known as the band Limbus Divide. She lives in the manors lake. Keeping an eye on the fish to make sure they don't go extinct. Occasionally snacking on some if their populations get out of control. Bedroom in an underwater grotto. Despite it all though. She still often thinks of her sister. And no matter how old it gets she refuses to get rid of the Bass guitar she was given. A reminder that she has at least one family member who gives a shit about her existence.
