Lady Magnolia is a strict surly older Toucannon lady and renowned sharp shot artillerist. Many crews find her difficult to deal with as she expects a certain amount of order and conduct in how a ship is run, often berating captains who she feels are not running a tight enough ship, but her accuracy with a mounted cannon is second to none; So it's up to each captain whether it's worth their crew watch them being browbeaten by a tough granny, in exchange for a powerful advantage against other ships.
It's clear to see in her behavior and skill, she served in a navy before becoming a pirate. You would think that the more rigidly structured environment of being in an official naval force would be more to her liking, but she turned renegade and has not once thought about going back, even making a personal effort to shoot down every navy ship she comes across, so whatever happened to her in the past really ruffled her feathers the wrong way.
