So, this is my custom player model I made for MC, I used it when I was playing on
mrvonfuzzlebutt's Cobblemon server, as a lot of other players had their own CPMs. As you can see, it's based on my baby boy, because Clay canonically loves Minecraft! I am really proud of this one, and how well I've been able to translate Clay's design into the Minecraft's style.
The armor he's wearing is a reference to the one he wore in the halloween picture!

However, due to the way it's been modelled, it will always be diamond armor regardless of what he wears, It IS possible to make it so that it changes depending on the type of armor he wears, but I think it's a massive headache to match all the UVs to the Minecraft armor texture, so... I'll just keep to what I have.
He's animated too! His tail swings when standing idle, and he has unique eating, sneaking, ladder climbing, and creative flying animations, although I still haven't animated him fully, so things like swimming, flying with an elytra, or using crossbows and tridents are not animated, his diaper is also not shaded either, and the texture is incomplete.
I do want things like blinking and maybe diaper usage animations, but I'm really rusty with this mod, I've asked Von for some help but since this whole model was build by me from scratch, it might be a bit hard for them to alter.

Did you use the CPM editor, or outside editors like blockbench?
Heard from people that using blockbench for example makes the process much simpler than the CPM editor, and then just import it into CPM to make it work.
The model looks amazing btw, I love it. Forgot to add that in the original message, lol.

What I usually do for CPM is to model inside CPM, but once the model it's done, I take it to Blockbench (with the help of a CPM plugin for Blockbench) and I do all the textures there, once I'm done with the textures, I export the model back for CPM and do the animations there.
I've seen people doing everything on Blockbench, but I prefer to have everything (except for texturizing) inside CPM

Well, I had to do a lot of self teaching for the Custom Player Models mod, with how there aren't a lot of tutorials out there, also a friend on Von's server was kind enough to lend me their playermodel for reference and a guide. If you have a model to reference, and a basic understanding of the tools, given enough time you should be able to pick up and use most of the tools you're given.
It's not something like blender where I am completely lost without a tutorial guiding me through step-by-step.

Well, as I mentioned in the description, the custom armor I made for him will forever have that diamond texture regardless of what he wears, if you want the in-game armors with their trims you'll need to do a whole bunch of stuff I am not familiar with, I suggest you ask
mrvonfuzzlebutt they seem to have a lot more experience with the program than I do.
