Casting Shadows of Ourself
Some personal vent-ish art. I wasn't necessarily upset when drawing this, more like... introspective & melancholy. I'm ok, just y'know, using art to express & explore our feelings as plural. I hope this resonates with others, plural or not. <3
ALT TEXT: A green/turquoise monochrome image on a paper texture, with a slight wavy, swirly, subtly rainbow effect like an oil slick in a puddle. A large humanoid bust silhouette representing myself takes up most of the page. The figures back is facing the viewer & drips like thick slime in some places, and looks over its shoulder. Within are alternating dark-light-dark-light silhouettes like Russian nesting dolls. The second largest figure is light, representing my fursona Neph. Their eyes are swirling, a row of jagged teeth bared, shoulders tensely hunched, claws out. They almost break the larger silhouette, but are contained by the ooze. Their expression is crazed; looking half aggressive & half pained. Within them is a dark silhouette; a winged figure with wide, expressionless, light eyes with no irises or pupils. Beams come out of his face, crossing through the bigger figures. His wings are outstretched and dripping, breaking Nephs silhouette but not the largest figures. Within that silhouette is a light one of a small child. They are not dripping like the rest, but seem to be wading knee deep in the ooze. Their eyes are obscured, their mouth is a low triangle, expression unclear. Within their silhouette, a thin geometric swirl spirals into the center of their chest.

OMG! This is just stunning to see here, especially with how you were able to make this look like a paper cut-out artpiece with the play on the silhouettes' and layering amoungst the colorful background! You're always being such an exceptionally lovable amd skilled artist, and I'm just so flipping hyped to seeing more like it in the future! Keep doing great!
