Duuuuuudes. I'm Tory Gronquist, I’m 22 years old, and I’m your Calicanine from the Hollywood area ready to make it not only to the A-list, but the Alpha-list!
TORY Gronquist
Age: 22 (born April 20, 1998)
Birthplace: Redding, California
Current residence: South Gate, California
Occupation: Fitness Model/Actor
Marital Status: Single
Species Golden Retriever
Height: 5’ 10" (178 cm)
Weight: 178 lbs. (81 kg)
It’s honestly insane to be in an experience such as this one, and I’m ready to juice every single bit of it for what is worth!
If I have to define myself in one word, it would be "Lead". I’m a leader, I’m a protagonist, I’m the one that’s fully ready to take the bull by the horns and do whatever it takes to ensure the result is excelled. Not just met! But done in such a way I make sure everyone is left staring in awe and get those contracts rolling.
I've always been enticed by the bright lights, the Hollywood bigshots, the world of acting. I'm a fan of all the Clooneys, Pitts, Day-Lewises, Lundgrens, the big leading men of yesterday and today, and I started my path with that goal set for myself to be the leading man of the future.
I had my fair share of gigs when I was a puppy, but when I turned 16, I hit the ground running. I knocked on doors and auditioned all around for any modelling, acting, and advertising opportunity there was in Hollywood, L.A. and around. There are many that got this golden’s number on speed dial! And keep your eyes peeled for billboards, you might recognize this familiar muzzle!
These dogs may see me and write me off at first, but I’m not your average L.A. socialite. This body isn’t just for show, it’s built with heavy HIIT and Tabata practice over the years, not to mention lifting at Muscle Beach and regular surfing. I ain’t scared of getting down, dirty, or physical, I still carry a bit of that Redding spirit in my heart, I can survive an outdoorsy challenge, a swim, and more.
And while I’m not really like those "aaaargh my knot, I tie" kinda dogs like some here, I’m the total canine! I'm friendly, hard-working, strong, versatile, and I take a good photo. Hah! ACA is also a heavily social challenge, and I got what it takes to ensure everyone looks at my case and has no other option but to accept the Alpha role is a lock for me.
I've been through a lot in my path, I've broken hearts, I've made hard decisions, I've faced your usual set of backstabs and shocks, but I'm still here and, like, that's what makes me an Alpha, I'm an insistent dude, bro! You can’t survive in Hollywood without the ability to get back up when stuff looks bad!
Also, a huge difference for me among the others is, like, I think I might be the first Alpha contestant aiming to become a big star and get something out of this beyond the title?
I know that American Canine Alpha can open so many doors; that the winner can snatch so many golden opportunities and I’m the only one that can take advantage of them to their fullest. I feel that many are ignoring the media potential this has. Carrying this title could mean media studios would drool at the concept of having a hardened, tough dog for their roles, and who knows? Like, Academy, hello? It’s all right there for the taking, and I can’t wait to take the brand to a whole new level!
And you may ask yourself. Who's the dog that'll end on the top and who's the dog who can really, really, really take this opportunity to become a big star?
I'm pointing at myself. Like, get it right on focus, baby. It's me. I'm the Alpha.

He's got golden locks and eyes so captivating, he's famous for his beauty, who is he? Tory, an actor and fitness model from Los Angeles County, is the youngest contender on American Canine Alpha and out to prove that youth and glamor don’t mean weakness. After outshining fellow Golden Retriever Clark in the selection process, Tory sees this as his big break — the “starting role” he’s been training for. With a body sculpted by years of gymnastics and flexing on the sands of Muscle Beach, he’s confident, camera-ready, and hungry for the spotlight. Can he handle the raw reality of the ACA arena? Or will his inexperience in physical combat be the flaw that brings him down?
