Hunting has always been a special topic for me, as in the concept of killing for food, not poaching. Life is so strange like that, how we must always kill an other life form and consume its body parts, whether the other life form is a plant, mushroom, or animal. I even read how you can bury a raw steak near a tree and its roots will absorb it whole after months (which is pretty metal if you ask me, trees eating flesh).

Anyway, I love your artwork here a lot because it portraits all the emotions involving a hunt. Both the hunters and their prey are fighting for their life, essentially, each aggressively trying to achieve what they must do. Both are trying to escape death. If the dogs don't eat (for long), they die. If the deer can't escape their hunger, he dies. It's hard for me to take moral sides and root for anyone in this situation, and that's what makes it so interesting for me.
