Out of all the countries I went to in Europe, Portugal surprised me the most. It was… charming, easy-going. It had a relaxed atmosphere, acting like the quiet, introverted one in the corner saying “Hi, I’m here, please enjoy yourself.” It is the European country that I would like to return to the most, mainly since I had only visited Lisbon. But I had a fantastic time there, from the nice weather, spectacular food, great tourism, and wonderful architecture. Perhaps Lisbon’s most iconic vehicles are these yellow trams, going up and down the narrow hilly streets (though they are never this empty), and vastly preferable to the tourist-trap tuk-tuks that were there.
