The Creator watched as final drop from the distillation test dripped into flask she was holding. With the accomplished the naga stoppered the end of the distilling vessel. Her metallic fingers and joints clicked softly as she raised the flask up first to the morning sunlight that was now filtering in through the clerestory window of her laboratory. A smile grew on her face ; the first feeding of mercury to the fluid had been completely incorporated into the solution.

Having examined the solution with sunlight she now leaned forward and lowered the flask and lowered it over a lit candle of pure beeswax. Carefully she once again examined the contents of the flask. Satisfied with what she saw she produced a glass stopper from a pocket on her lab apron and sealed the flask. Then she glanced over at her visitor. Softly she spoke.

"The first distillation is complete. We appear to be on the right path."
