Badru -
CranburrofSoda
Age: 7,500+
Height: 7'3"
Likes: Passing knowledge and teachings of the Moon Gods. Being shown crafts and sculptures made by disciples. Preserving history and wisdom. Reading and hearing stories and legends of old.
Dislikes: Disrespect to his disciples, fellow worshippers, or the Moon and Sun Gods. Fellow disciples of the Moon or Sun being harmed.
Badru, the Grand High Priest of Ayla, Scholar of the Great Moons, one of the wisest priests and servants of the Moon Gods.
A kind, considerate and determined being, who acts as a grand keeper of wisdom, a teacher, and father figure of future generations of worshippers and disciples of the Moon Gods and Goddesses. Serving as a religious leader and aiding in within Solyarum, the Sun and Moon kingdom.
Originally a mortal who in the past, served the Moonlight Goddess as a warrior, fighting against the enemies of Solyarum, mainly the Abyssal Deathbringers and Abyssal worshipping warriors. However, he would eventually suffer a grievous wound after fighting against a Deathbringer war chief, losing his right leg, and nearly losing both his arms.
While he managed to mostly heal, the loss of his leg severely affected his ability to fight, so he decided to devote his time among the scholars of his clan. Though reluctant at first, the stories of the Moon Gods and their past champions would intrigue him, and later on lead him to learn more of their accomplishments. As he became older, he became wiser, less rash and more considerate of those around him. Even earning the respect of the previous Grand High Moon Priest, becoming his apprentice.
Later in his life, soon after the Grand high priest would pass away, Badru would be granted his role by Ayla herself. With heartfelt honour and pride, he and the rest of the high priests would continue to ensure the wisdom of old would be protected and passed down, while spreading the teachings and knowledge of the Moon Gods.
But as he reached close to his seventies, he would be afflicted by a sickness, affecting his lungs. Healers and apothecaries at best kept the pain at bay, but this illness was too far gone, as Badru knew, he was close to the end of his story.. Or so he thought.
He would be visited by a travelling scholar, who claimed to be serving the God of Wisdom Alden. Saying to the dying scholar, if he wished to continue guiding the future, his God would have the answer. Badru felt conflicted, unsure whether this man spoke the truth, or told lies. But, while the pain was too much to bear, he still wished to lead and protect his household.
He would accept the offer, over the next week, scholars and servants of the Wise God would arrive, preparing a strong ritual and ingredients for any spells required. Involving golem made from shining stones as pretty as the starry night sky.
With preparations ready, the ritual would be lead by the same scholar who gave Badru the offer hope. The sick elderly priest would pass out during the ritual, feeling as if his soul was escaping his body, then would wake up in the body of the golem.
At first shocked and disoriented, he was calmed down by the Wisdom God's servants. Though reassured by them and even his acquittances, and friends, he would still be unsettled by this new body, especially after having his old body burned and preserved in ashes.
He would eventually grow used to this new body of his, and as the years went on, he would grow wiser and more compassionate towards his fellow disciples. Though would suffer the price of living a nigh-eternal life.. As friends new and old would age and pass away, while he remained as youthful as this golem body was since he first soul bounded to it.
But despite such hardships, he continues to serve Ayla and the rest of the Moon Gods with admirable determination and demigod-like wisdom. As he guides the rest of the Moon disciples as best he can, with open arms and his ever kind heart.
