Making the universe less cold and cruel, one step at a time_______________________________________________________________________Despite all the time that had passed, Abber's gathering has only grown stronger and more abundant, yet he cherishes his followers all the same. His passive methods of establishing a peaceful resolve has become a staple in the universe. Even having a rogue Necrozma disciple in his ranks, many thought this alone would be the tipping point for every other member within his branch. But alas, as weeks turned to months, then to a whole year, other followers of the cosmic and divine have wondered- perhaps, just maybe- there really is another way to end this ongoing conflict between celestial forces.
Hm? Ah, the one being gooped? That would be Shard, also known as Ras'Algethi. We occasionally treat him by reverting him and converting him all over again. Don't worry, he loves it, and everyone else knows.~
Continuing on from here:
First Sol: Shard
Being a close friend, highly adept in the field of science, as well as showing unfathomable magical potential with being an extremely rare cloudy eeveelution, it's to no surprise that Solgaleo would want such an over- achieving mortal in his ranks... if Shard even is mortal. Shard saw this conversion as a new opportunity in potential breakthroughs in the fields of science and magic, as well as having more of an excuse to spend time with Abber. Nevertheless, ever since then, Rasalgethi has been a beloved follower ever since.
Second and Third Sol: Cassiopeia and Andromeda
As Cepheus performed his duties, a certain couple started to take notice, who in question ended up being Azure and Marble- two Sylveons in a close relationship with one- another. Initially, they didn't fit the qualifications of being worthy or converted, so they were ignored by Cepheus. Despite this, they kept following after him, providing useful information and even helping in the conversion of those worthy, long after they had been turned down. These actions had fancied Solgaleo, and decided to finally reward the two of them with a proper role. However, the imprint on Cepheus didn't seem to fade, resulting in the two of them remaining in Cepheus' branch as loyal, loving followers ever since. Marble (now Andromeda) is quite sweet and thoughtful, while Azure (now Cassiopeia) has proven to be... rather spicy. The patronage doesn't go unnoticed, however.
Fourth Sol: Centauri
Not all inductions were straightforward. In this instance, Cepheus was notified of a potential worthy disciple who turned out to be a peculiar dragon eeveelution; a drakeon. He overheard tales of how he aggressively rejected the modern day peaceful dragon philosophy, attempting to spread his own influence far and wide to any dragons who were around to hear it that they should return to their days of burning villages and stealing hoards of gold, but with little to no avail. He was also one to pick fights a lot... and lose. Nonetheless, his persistence was admirable. All it took was for Cepheus to wait beneath a tree in a wide clearing- as directed to him by Solgaleo- and sure enough, the drakeon- now known to be Hyper- came running, itching for a fight. While he did lose again, his newly gained identity and body gave him just the power boost he needed to get a proper point across, so when he's not protecting the cosmos, he's using his newfound powers to exert his draconic will unto others. Hyper- now known as Centauri- was bestowed as a gift to Cepheus's branch for his continued work and servitude. Centauri wasn't initially expecting this to be how events turned out, but now he's not one to complain whatsoever.
First Luna: Phoenix
Long into Cepheus's span of work, Lunala had needed assistance with their quadrant of the universe; due to her disciples often being more cocky and mischievous in nature, there was a higher amount of her protectors being assimilated into Necrozma's forces than Solgaleo's followers comparatively, and as such, she had requested to borrow some of Solgaleo's followers. Among them was Cepheus, who proceeded to be inducted as a hybrid disciple among his brothers and sisters. As Pandora, she was now equipped to explore other parts of the universe under Lunala's guise, albeit being more grounded (ironically) due to the previous Sol consciousness that predated her existence. It was through this form that she got a report from Lunala about a derelict scrap spaceship approaching the edge of the quadrant, to which Pandora had opted to seek out, ending up finding 6197, a female avali who had run away from their home, family, and life as a whole back on Avalon, and was nearly at the end of their rope. Pandora, serving more as a direct savior to a mortal now more than ever, carefully approached the hopeless avali with her offer, being gentle and upfront with all that had transpired to her prior, and giving 6197 a second chance. She agreed, and upon donning Lunala's visage, was effectively reborn as Phoenix, to which she is eternally thankful and loving towards Pandora for saving her life.
First Fractal: Fornax
For Abber, he had spent enough time as a server of the cosmos to learn the ugly side of what happens when a disciple strays too far and sinks too deep. This would be dawned upon with the instance of Neri's untimely demise. Rivula was a peculiar target; an avali who demonstrated unnatural abilities of self- cloning and self- teleportation, but also a strong attachment to the stars above. They were easily chosen as worthy, and their ascension went without a hitch, promoting them to Neri, a moon disciple. Unlike Phoenix, Neri had adopted the more mischievous and cocky side of moon disciples, often leading to mild tension within the branch. Neri often caused minor fusses among the other disciples, and their host consciousness always argued with one- another. This failure to come to a mutual understanding would ultimately culminate into Neri turning into a Necrozma disciple after they foolishly mistook a prism on the edge of the quadrant as mere space junk, instead having it latch onto and corrupt them, the encroaching identity making use of the disagreements between the two consciousnesses to his advantage, letting Fornax easily overpower them. Thankfully, the other followers in Abber's branch were made aware of this, and were able to pacify Fornax before he could corrupt another follower. Through this altered state of mind, Fornax was still vicious and stubborn, insistent the rest of the branch and all other followers of the sun and moon overseers turn to the "right side," however through continued exposure and pondering, seeds of doubt began to creep through. Fornax slowly began to question his own worldview, how Necrozma treats him compared to Solgaleo and Lunala, taking the offerings that Abber bestowed upon him to get him off his group's back for the time being into consideration, as well as conversing with the two entrapped consciousnesses that dwelt within him, but also including a clone of Rivula, who put their current circumstance into perspective. It took a hefty amount of time, but eventually, Fornax came to the conclusion that- while starting out rickety- a proper, healthy connection could be established, with him eventually no longer even requiring pacification. While Solgaleo and Lunala still keeps a close, cautious eye on this rarely seen instance, Fornax doesn't mind it. Despite being a rogue Necrozma disciple, he knows both which side has the universe's best interests in mind, as well as those who are willing to treat him right.
Second Luna: Carina
One could imagine that the concept of your significant other being subjected and overtaken by not one, but TWO foreign forces someone could have difficulty comprehending and then promptly whisked away wouldn't necessarily go down well with you. Distraught and torn, Stella was eagerly asking around, wondering where Rivula could have possibly gone, until being told by an anonymous, sketchy source what had become of them. Learning of Rivula now being a permanent Necrozma disciple, she sought out to become a Necrozma disciple herself as a means of seeking Rivula out, unaware of the mind alteration that would follow suit, potentially jeopardizing their chances of ever reuniting. She was confronted by an unknown Necrozma disciple in her home and nearly gave into the temptation of putting on the mask they offered and sealing her fate- until Fornax- previously Rivula- happened to swoop in at the last moment and fought off their fellow follower and forcing a retreat, before reconciling with Stella and insisting to her that this course of action wasn't the right option, and they were so sorry to have been gone for so long, despite the circumstances that led up to their own separation being out of their control until only recently. It took several hours of explanation with lots of poured out emotions and tears, but eventually, Stella understood. However, her longing to be back with her partner never waned, and she eagerly wanted to be a cosmic follower, if only to be with her partner again. Fornax thought for a bit on this, recalling the time it took for their multiple consciousnesses- one mortal, one divine, one corrupted- to all reach a mutual understanding and agreement, and was unsure if Stella would end up as lucky as they themselves turned out to be. Perhaps as a Sol or Luna disciple...? Fornax voiced this concern with their wife, who also gave it a long thought, before conceding, saying it could be just the refreshing experience they need, after so long. Fast forward to today, and it would seem Lunala has a lovely new follower, brimming with pride and potential.
Veil Visitor: Arcturus
It would seem word of Cepheus' inclusive branch had reached Arcturus- the esteemed "patient zero" of Solgaleo's recruited forces. After hearing of Cepheus' branch containing ALL types of disciples, he just had to see for himself. He was given permission to enter Cepheus' astral plane, not long at all until he started drilling Fornax for information, potentially on ulterior motives. Everyone else was initially offput by this, but understood the reason for his wariness. Eventually though, Arcturus' visits would become less so about checkups and moreso about simply participating with whatever the rest of the group was doing, as he found everyone- including Fornax- to be rather nice and intriguing to be around. Everyone knew he technically wasn't a part of Cepheus' branch, but who were they to treat them otherwise?_______________________________________________________________________Despite the gradual expansion of the cosmos, we stay together~
