Yo! Atlatl representation, that's rad. They're the reason the bow and arrow took so long to develop; these things are insanely effective in the right hands. They're really easy to make too, compared to bows.

We can't fit our booth into a half table in an artist alley, and it's an overnight trip (I.E. it's far enough we couldn't drive in each day, we'd need to pay for a hotel, so 4 feet of space to sell prints wouldn't make the trip worth it)

Yeah it's a pretty small convention space for sure but you should swing by for a visit and see if you like the vibe (and the attendance numbers) lol. It'll be my first time going to this one myself as i'm getting back into the fandom after ages of being inactive.

We'd be fine doing a smaller con if there was booth space still available, but Artist Alleys are more temporary space you need to set up and tear down each day, usually no more than 4 feet. We have a tax license and a full-size booth setup, so it's more that the space that seems to still be available wouldn't suit us, not the overall size of the convention. I'm sure their den has enough space at actual booths, but I believe they closed for those awhile ago.

It's called the Hickory Expo Center, it's not tiny but it's not really one of those places where you can have multiple things going on at once in the same place. unless things have changed it's one large room with an exterior hallway area that runs the length of the front of the building. The convention center itself is its own building but it's surrounded by hotels, and if it's something you're interested in we decided to rent out our living room during the con for $40 per night so people on a budget can still go to the con and I cook at least one big meal (Hot Pot this time) but we only have room for 2-3 people though. We are approximately 12 minutes away.
