This next bit is not to be an antagonistic asshole, but rather to genuinely make a fair point.
Being surprised at Naughty’s casual generosity is entirely justified, I think, while the idea that he’s always been thoughtful is surely true (I mean, you’re his creator, you know more that anyone else), but also a bit of a stretch. You know, from an audience perspective.
So far, much of his portrayal include getting angry at an restaurant/love hotel owner for treating him like royalty (which he is), insulting her in her own establishment for not treating him with more normalcy because she forgot the advice she was given (which kinda proves her initial assumptions, really), and having sex with two random construction workers for hours while on a rescue mission because he was mad Luco and Spark were blunt at him (granted, if no one remembers that it’s fine: that was years ago, outside of the comic).
Now, it’s very obvious that he’s got qualities too (and that he’s set to grow at some point). I’m just pointing out that it’s also obvious the guy is a short-sighted dick with a temper, whenever he’s not generous.
It’ll be nice to see more of his good sides moving forward, assuming that’s the idea. Best of luck on that front, by the way — I’m aware that writing ain’t easy.

That is a fair assessment to be honest. Yeah he speaks his mind and can get irritated fairly easy. Despite his best intentions, it is hard to break years of teaching from his noble upbringing.
He'll continue to grow, despite everything he still cares he just has a hard time showing it from time to time.

Glad you think so! It was the goal, as clarified in the previous comment.
It’s good to know you have enough insight of his character to realize that his upbringing is a big reason for his behavior.
That and, as funny as it is for porn comic enjoyers, getting into consistent incest with his dad in-universe definitely didn’t help, in the education department.
Still, thanks for sharing a bit of your mindset about the character. It’s very much appreciated.

Fair, actually.
If you enjoy comments (both similar to mine and similar to Shadow-Anubis’) and wish you could get them more, there are actually ways you can have that (short version: building your own crowd is a difficult, but achievable skill). I can always elaborate on that topic later, if your DMs are open. I’ve met enough self-taught artists to understand why that matters, but rest assured — this isn’t imposed.
Current chat with you’s pretty ace, too.

You’re welcome!
Oh, well, no, that’s genuinely not how that works.
As usual, I don’t say this to be antagonistic (I typically don’t, but I like to be clear). What I mean is this:
You have written 48 pages of this comic (and as we both know, this is version 2), and barely received any comments you hope to have, let alone ones like mine.
You’ve also completed literal hundreds of commissions (not to mention personal artworks), and the same thing happened there. I’m aware things are different on your discord server, or e621, or your Twitter, but visibly not enough to make you artistically satisfied. Even on those platforms, comments on your side aren’t plentiful — else you wouldn’t want more.
Now, it is true that grinding for artistic exp points does eventually bring results, such as you getting better at drawing, but you could literally keep doing this for the next twenty years and be at the exact same place.
Don’t take this from just me, to be clear: it’s an observable fact among self-taught artists. This is true in music, in writing, in drawing, in theater, in acting, in anything that requires self-growth.
Now, if your goal is just to keep grinding and slowly but surely work on your art at your own pace, this is perfectly fine. Like seriously, there’s nothing wrong with that.
But given that you just expressed a desire for more (namely, more pertinent comments to help you think), several things need to change in that case.
I don’t necessarily expect you to change anything here (because again: you don’t have to), but it is the reality of your situation.

I might have explained myself incorrectly.
I do enjoy comments, as it, to me, shows that people have a genuine interest in my work, stories, etc. I don't expect it but when it happens it's a great feeling.
In order for me to get more interactions, naturally, I just have to keep making the comic, story and art. I mean afterall, you're commenting on it, meaning it does work it just takes time.
If it doesn't happen, that too is fine as I do have friends who ask me questions about the world and help me flesh it out. I am also making a community slowly but surly, full of people who, I hope at least, enjoy not only my work, but me too.

Oh no, you actually explained yourself just fine. I’ve had no problem understanding your words so far, you can rest assured. I’ll be sure to ask a question if I’m confused about something though.
As stated earlier, if it’s not your goal to be at a different place at which you are at the moment, it’s perfectly fine — as many have done that before and are perfectly content with it. My commenting on the comic is indeed useful, but would be of little consequence if your goal was different, which is what I was pointing out.
Also, you mentioning now that receiving no comments wouldn’t be a problem is different sentiment than your previous:
“really wish I got them more but what can you do”
Which is what this chain is still about.
Again: no, to have more interactions, merely keeping on making the comic isn’t enough (which to be clear isn’t an opinion, right, it’s related to my original statement about how growing an audience is a separate skill from making art), and my commenting on it isn’t proof that it works, as your interaction with me here doesn’t erase the typical lack of it in most of your posts publicly.
Tl;dr: the grinding work you’re performing for self-growth isn’t meaningless, particularly if you’re actually fulfilled doing it. What I’m doing is pointing out that if your goal was to do anything more than what you’re currently doing, then you’d have to count on more than making the comic alone.
Normally, this is where we’d go into the kind of things you’d need to do to arrive at a different place, but as you’ve now expressed that you’re fine even if you’re not receiving comments thanks in part to your private help, I now know that would be unnecessary. As I said originally, we can have such a conversation in DMs; but it won’t be something I’ll impose.
