I actually started this piece back in February when I was still burnt to a crisp, but I loved the concept so much I wanted to finish. <3
This was originally inspired by my excitement LAST fall, when Q noticed I'm finally getting some greys!!! I know I should be upset, but I'm just... well I'm not. I've had a really hard time being young, and the older I get the more comfortable I feel. I hated being young. (I didn't hate not hurting, but the whole not being allowed to make decisions, not being allowed to have boundaries, being shamed. Constantly. I hated it.)
So this is a piece to celebrate my aging. I intend to age gracefully and positively. (And as always draw/paint my heart out!!!!)
Also, I am STILL giggling about how difficult it is to see the greys, cuz of the colorblindness. XD Life is weird! Even weirder is how long I thought my eyes are blue, but they are just straight up grey. I literally eyedropped the colors from a photo of my eyes in full sunlight. This is the color of my eyes. My hair, my skin. This is very much me. And that feeld amazing to be able to appreciate. <3
