Humans. They’re big, they’re strong, they’re loud (and maybe a bit ugly, or at least a little funny looking) - and did I mention they’re big? Big enough that they could probably squash a dragon - or any other ‘mythical’ creature - under their feet without even realising. Big enough that every ‘mythical’ creature there is spends their entire lives hiding from them and living in the walls of their houses and scavenging off of their leftovers like rats. Big enough that if you could talk to them and make friends with them, you probably wouldn’t have to worry about much of anything ever again. Or, at least, that’s what one young dragon named Lind thinks - and what precisely none of his friends and family, or as far as he’s aware any other member of The Diminished, thinks.
But young dragons like Lind aren’t exactly in the habit of listening to what they’re told (or, rather, they certainly listen, but they don’t exactly do what they’re told) - and so, when the opportunity to try and talk to a human for the very first time, what else is he going to do but grab onto it with both paws?
Lind might just have a rough time ahead of him, though - because first of all, he’s going to have to try to convince the human whose home he’s accidentally invaded that he’s even real to begin with…
Yes, it’s another SFW story! Or the start of one, at least - and, yet again, a safe-for-work story focusing around dragons, which as I’ve noted in the past is a bit of an oddly specific, though not unwelcome, pattern for me. Besides that - micro, in my gallery? 🙀 🙀 🙀 The length of this one ended up surprising me a little, though not in a bad way - and it was nice to work on something that was a little more focused on story over pure smut, again (not that I dislike pure smut in any way, but keeping things varied and fresh is always nice). Other than that, there’s not much to say about this one, though I’m hoping I handled certain mental health issues with the level of respect I intended instead of it coming off as a cheap plot point.

Just want to say I love your story and I would absolutely die for Lind.
Being the small, definitely-not-baby dragon, he's an easy character to like, but I also quickly came to like Jay. His line right at the end to Lind, "I wouldn't mind having hallucinations again, if they were all like you" hit right in the feels. I can't claim to know anything about schizophrenia nor be able to speak about it from any experience, but I thought it was a very neat inclusion to this kind of story.
Hope to see more!
