So I'm sort of new here, what's the story behind her scars? Particularly the ones on her back where wings would've been.

Really just started as a way to avoid the wing-tax, as well as opening up new poses and framing options for commissions. Wings are big and awesome, but also detrimental to a lot of things when trying to cram details in or get art in certain poses.

However, the original refs I have do have wings and I wanted to tie the difference in with some character building instead of just removing them so I used it as an opportunity to write her through some hardships that results in the scars and the loss of her wings. Canonically she could grow them back, but she keeps them to remind herself and others that scars are nothing to hide, and the things that scar sometimes give an opportunity for growth.

I like that her face is always the same, in every art piece.

Feral Linna is always a treat to see.
