He's staying away from the railing; the water's a long way down, and he's far from the shore.

A much less bright piece compared to the last two. I started this in June, but only got as far as getting the sketch and the lines down before I finally burnt out of my drawing drive. I meant to get back to this sooner, but things kept on coming up, some of which really killed my motivation to do much of anything. At the very least, it feels more appropriate as an autumn drawing than a summer drawing anyway.
On the technical side of things, I ended up not using any gradients on the background hills/valley/ridges to add a sense of depth; all of the colours are just whatever I picked from the colour sliders (and then usually adjusted for saturation and brightness afterwards, but shhhh). I sort of feel proud of that, since most of my other recent pieces have all sorts of colour correction layers on top of them, and I'm happy that I managed to so closely replicate the sense of distance and scale that was present in the photo I was using as a reference.
I listened to a lot of keep it together's music while drawing this, especially from Signals. Back in June when that album released, it gave me a lot of drive to draw. Three months later, it's still one of my absolute favourites, and I had it on repeat while working on this. I even included a couple of easter eggs in this piece referencing them! Let me know if you find them =^.^=

[edit # realised after a couple of days that I'd completely forgotten to add a shadow beneath bunny guy. Dragged my feet on it for a while (thanks ADHD/executive dysfunction) but finally spent the less-than-five minutes to add one. Due to the weather, the piece has fairly soft lighting anyway, but without the shadow, it just looked off. Well, more off, maybe]
