Pixie and the Rogues (2025 Tickletober Story 17)
For day 17, the prompt was OC X Canon - and for that I present to you a story of Pixie's run in with Team Rogue - a trio of minor antagonists from PMD: Explorers of the Sky. Originally I planned to go with more memorable Team AWD from the same game, but decided on the less notable baddies, as I felt it'd give me more flexibility in their portrayal.
Also featuring an appearance from Pixie's still-unintroduced teammates: Clover the Purrloin and Cross the Gengar (later of which also made a cameo appearance in the day 7 story).

Also worth noting, while Team Rouge actually are thieves, Team AWD are decent people. People, just remember them as villains because nobody remembers the part of the Team Charm special episode where Ditto admits to pretending to have been various victims of muggings to turn exploration teams against each other.
I mean... AWD still openly refer to themselves as "thieves" and imply that they're only staying out of trouble while in and around Treasure Town because they consider it not wealthy enough (and possibly too close to the Guild) to be worth it. I wouldn't exactly call them "decent" - just pragmatic.
Little Noibat toes are fun to play with!
Anyway, this is fun seeing the choice you went. I feel like Snover's team is usually ignored or forgotten, so it was a pleasant surprise to see these three appear here. Also, it's interesting that Pixie, before the tickling, was acting quite confident and capable. Too bad he unravels with the tickling, but not enough to give away anything. Wonder how long he would have held out if he wasn't rescued...

Snover and his buddies have the disadvantage of having neither Team Skull's story presence, nor Team AWD's coolness factor and get easy to forget about as a result. Nonetheless giving those oft-ignored baddies something to do was certainly fun ^^
And yeah, Pixie has nerves of steel... but sufficient heat can still melt said steel. Clearly the sight of a feather menacingly approaching his feet can generate sufficient temperature... must be some weird quirk of Noibat biology :p
