Hildegard's Quest for Aura - Furret

I don't think Riolu requires a specific time of day, just high friendship
You might be confusing them with Espeon, who DOES have a second requirement for it being daytime (to differentiate from Umbreon)
Not helped by the fact that in PMD, you need to give them a Sun Ribbon to evolve them

False Information there:
From the past stories I've read and kept up to, Hildegard has never ONCE ate people, she has eaten other Pokemon in her quest to get stronger. If anything else, there's been several chapters where humans are kind to her and she never once acted hostile towards them.
Plus this is of course the artist's own story, so how will Hildegard evolve is up to them and not pre-existing game mechanics.

Ok gotta ask, WHY, WHY WAS THIS NECESARY D'X??? Like bro all that progress down to zero, not to mention the evolution requires friendship during the day to even do that like WHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY???? Ngl it already got me a little bitter and caught off guard when she lost to that Ho-oH and I would've been ok with going with power level back to 0 but THIS??? Sorry if I sound really irate, no actually? I'm not sorry, this was going so well and now it feels like a total letdown and waste of time
It's not a full reset since her maintains her faculties and her memories. Nothing wrong with a soft reset - new ideas and new challenges to explore and provides a fresh experience, both for Fid as well as us readers.
Plus, now Hilda has a clear secondary goal in mind - revenge on the ho-oh witch!
