When I thought about where I know these kind of eye hornlets of my OC Don from (other than Carnotaurus), I remembered some species of frogs and lizards have pretty much exactly these. Some of them have the exact shape and angle.
So of course my mind immediatly went "oh what if, in the AU, young Nara finds such an animal and....."
I didn't draw it, but Don totally laughed immediatly after ... "hahahah, yeah, indeed it does!" ...(and told her to wash her hands after she put it down).
