It was the year 2011. Or 2010, I don't remember exactly. I was but a kid that loved Pokemon. Black and White had came out in Italy, the commercial made it look so cool and I was *begging* my mom to buy it. At one point we made an agreement: if I behaved in church, I could get it. And so it happened, and I played it and it was all AWESOME. The graphics, the sprites, the characters, the new pokemons, the soundtrack, the story. I instantly fell in love with the game, so much so that until I finished Emerald for the first time I considered Serperior my favorite pokemon and it was for me the ultimate pokemon game (then I discovered Explorers of Sky). Shortly after the game came in Italy the Unova anime was broadcasted in my country, and despite some letdowns (mainly Ash not fighting N and Team Plasma) I loved that too. Then the Victini movie came out on tv. I saw it on my mom's tv (where I have watched almost all pokemon movies when I was a kid) and I loved that too. The movie also made me want to get a Victini in my game (it looked too cute! 🥹 ) and so I tried to get the mystery gift... only to find out it was too late 😭 . This thing haunted me for 15 long years, until a friend of mine on Discord thought me how to use PKHex. There, I found out I could use it to get mystery gifts too, and immediately I used it to get that Victini event. When I saw that boat take me to Liberty Island, I begun crying. A wait that lasted 15 years finally brought me to one of my worst regrets as a child, and I was the happiest Pokemon player that moment. Thus, this drawing, where my character (basically how I always imagined me as a Pokemon trainer, minus the black glasses that came later) crying over a Victini happily welcoming him and his Hydreigon at his home.

Rest in peace, kid me. You now have what you wanted since that wretched day, 15 years ago 😔
