While I did have a score going for an updated version of the hymn "Thou Didst Leave Thy Throne" entitled "Jesus Left His Throne," that was a rehearsal track for a Christmas program my church choir is involved in this year. I decided to go ahead and do an arrangement of the hymn proper. Note that there are five verses total, and in the hymnbook, some verses involved tied notes in certain spots, and some do not. So I decided to do each verse out individually instead of using repeat bars, first and second ending lines, D.S. al Coda markings, or anything like that.
The instrument lineup is the usual lineup I use nowadays for these hymn arrangements:
Sax section (alto, tenor, baritone)
Glockenspiel
Vibraphone
Xylophone
Marimba (grand staff)
Piano (accompaniment)
Hand bells
Original music is now public domain
This arrangement © me and me alone
UPDATE: Now in scraps.
