Now to be clear, my memory of the event is fuzzy, and there may have been a turkey event in 2007 as well but from what I can remember, I had a BLAST in 2008 in Henesys hunting these things!

Basically Nexon held a special mini event around thanksgiving of that year, and had specially encoded Henesys Hunting Ground to feature these FUKKING annoying Turkeys for the week of Thanksgiving. The special prize for hunting the turkeys were special drops and for collecting the eggs in exchange for more special items, like Pumpkin Pies which had an amazing amount of HP and MP per pie consumed. HHG was specially set up for the event to exclude the difficult to kill stumps and dark stumps to players could concentrate on the turkeys more easily, and for any new players or newly made characters during the turkey shoot event, the lower floors were set to spawn more lower tier monsters more quickly to compensate, while the 2nd and 3rd floors were set to spawn turkeys at a decent rate.

I had gone NUTS enjoying this special event so much, that I kept dumping pies into my NPC storage for my other characters and somewhat made a nuisance of myself by SMURFING and bringing my higher level Ranger just to waste these birds faster!

Now remember folks... this was back when Nexon was NOT worried about what was called Kill Stealing in other MMOs, and folks did this schmuck OFTEN, so I felt less bad on channel 5 and higher, just NUKING HHG to farm pies... So whenever some mage came into my chan to try to KS my turkeys, I could care less because while his Lightning was on cooldown, I'd just strafe the FUKK out of whatever spawned in and ignore their rude "CC IDIOT!" and counter KS them. I was NOT about to let my pies get stolen !!!!

Yah yah yeah... I KNOW ksing is mean and rude and cruel but, TBH back then in old classic Maple, it was something that made it fun, because what joy is it, to be a lower ranked Archer with few AOE skills like Arrow Rain, and still annoy the FUKK out of higher level mages by counter stealing what they couldn't from you? xDDD

GADDAMMIT Nexon you guys BETTER bring back these holiday events to Classic World once you DO drop it on the public !!!!

At least I can remember the fun times in my own arts for now.
