"As the two marched through the cave Corsola couldn't help but let her eyes wander. Aleph didn't mind. After all wandering was covered about half the things Corsola did. He was hardly surprised when she stopped as the two past a glowing pond. Such things there common in these caves. This one stood out. Aleph didn't even notice was separated it until Corsola audibly gasped, saying the pokemon-equivalent of "Wooooooow!" The pond water barely moved, just sitting still. But in the centre of the pond was a pile of glowing crystals. They emitted their own light, tinting everything in the cave a gorgeous blue as it seemingly lit the cave. Perhaps he was imaginigng it but Aleph swore he heard tone play from the crystals. He must have heard it, he decided. Beside a faint bubbling that had been heard throughout the cavern no other sounds were audible. Just the crystal's drone, Corsola's wonder and the last step Aleph took. Whatever the crystals were and despite Corsola's interest he pressed on. "Come on Corsola. We can check it out on the way back."
Corsola let out a disappointed sound, but not defeat. Resounded in her mind she saw it as a goal that on the way back she'd dive into that pond and get those perfectly shiny crystals."
A nice scene from my unreleased Pokemon novel, Days of Obsidian. In which Aleph and Corsola are passing through a cave and Corsola gets distracted by some shiny crystals.
I made this render a few weeks ago and when I was showing a friend they said it looked just like those old Pokemon TCG 3DCG-based cards. Thinking on it now, I think he's right.
Corsola and Aleph (trainer) model are mine. The map used is called dm_august101_blockout.
