[IP Name] [Spin Off] [Subsequent Number]: Beyond - [2025-D]
I am a huge Metroid fan, I love it, it's probably my favorite Nintendo IP of all time!... That's why I won't be buying Metroid Prime 4: Beyond.

Adds too many elements from other games that don't really match with Metroid's game design or Metrodvanias in general as a whole.
The atmosphere and sense of loneliness is lost due to NPC characters that speak to you very often in a hand-holdy way so you won't get lost in the game.
The game as a 'Hyrule Field from OoT' hub world that is huge and empty that breaks the phasing of the game and forces you to waste time in it for no reason whatsoever.
Only the music and visuals are fin.

Metroid Prime 3 spoilers ahead for those who wish to play. Skip the following paragraph.
Honestly, I have trouble picturing what they could even do with the Prime series after we blew up Phaze in the third entry. I get that Phaze was kind of a wandering planet of sorts but it really felt like we destroyed the heart of Phazon when we went there. Hell, we even got to go to the Space Pirate home world which was pretty awesome but is there any story left to tell about Phazon after we struck at the heart of it and destroyed the Mother Brain-like super computers that the Galactic Federation were using for tactical analysis. I mean, I guess that it was an applied version of the Mother Brain project that they would eventually work on in Other M.
I guess the question I'm trying to ask though- Is there even a story left to tell about Phazon after the events of Prime 3?

For me? No, Metroid Prime ended in 3, we didn't need a new game after that, there is a reason those games were called "Prime" (referring to the literal Metroid Prime).
And if I am being honest, I was expecting Metroid 5: Dread to be the last game in the entire series, the story had nowhere to go after Fusion besides going after the corrupt side of the Galactic Federation or them going after Samus after the end of Fusion as it's implied by Samus herself in the ending of that game, but Dread was instead used to kinda try to return to a status quo back with the Federation, Metroid was always a solid linear story with very limited potential for its MAIN premise, extending it beyond Super already felt a bit artificial, but now it feels like they are going to turn it into another Nintendo IP from the bunch, infinite games that always return to the status quo without little to no explanation (we still don't know how Kraid was even alive in Dread)

I haven't played the game yet, but this was just the most adorably relatable thing that I've ever seen, bonus of it being Ariel to say it while playing a DS being such a wholesome image to see here! I am just flat out adoring these so much, and I'm hyped to seeing more and more amazing works like it in the future! Keep doing great!
