so I stumbled on this and wanted to try it as a simple healthy snack.
Its a 3 ingredient recipe, and really easy
so if you want some then bring some to ~faccc2 ~faccc2 and give it a shot.
Apple clouds
600 grams of peeled and chopped apples (about 3 or 4) (or you can use unsweetened apple sauce to be easier)
100 ml water
40 grams of unflavored gelatine
steps
1 In a pan or pot saute the apples with the water for about 15 minutes
2 blend the cooked apples (an immersion blender works a treat)
3 add gelatine and mix well
4 whip the cooked apples till the yellow cooked apples turn white and it whips up into stiff peaks
5 line a 8 by 8 with saran wrap and spoon the whipped apples in.
6 cover the mix with more cling wrap to smooth the top and place in the fridge to set up for an hour or two
7 once set pull off the cling wrap and cut into portions
This is really simple like I said and despite the videos calling them marshmallows thats not accurate. they texture is more like a stiffer sponge cake and its not really too sweet (they said you can add some sugar/honey in with gelatine). its a hint of sweet and tart with only a bit of apple to them. course this could vary depending on the type of apple used
Its a decent snack and I have been snacking on 20 cal portions all day

A bit of apple syrup added to the mix might bring in more of the apple flavor without disrupting the intended effect. Admittedly, I don't know all that much about gelatin, but I can't imagine a bit of syrup would make it catastrophically fall apart or anything.
