Many entities have already come to this place to obtain what they desired, without any negative consequences, unforeseen side effects, or questionable wording. We could mention the Green Mouse of the Tall Grass, a specimen of which is shown willingly consuming the alchemical ingredient.
The trade-off offered was sufficient and in line with the needs of the Manor or my own.
