the oldest fulll-size version of which that TinEye can find is from nonworking blogsite borriquito2.skynetblogs.be/tag/1/liefde, oldest proper is from also broken site sandralicious.over-blog.net, but that one is highly edited, and the one I used is both cropped and has a watermark of a later site added so 🤷🏻
I should really stop using unsourceable pictures for reference, even if I'm changing a lot. :/ Poses might not be copyrightable but it's still uncool of me. Of course, if I do stop then there'll still be some coming down the pipe of all the queue I have up, so you'll have to bear with me as we get through that.
Anyway, I like how it came out. It's cute. While I've seen Nepeta licking people for cat-reasons, I have not seen the same for Tavros for bull reasons, so here we are :) It was interesting working on it, because I originally was doing a monochrome-red picture using only alcohol markers, but then after finishing the shading I decided to see if I could add the skin-grey an horn-yellow overtop with paint markers and have the shading still been seen through them. Seems to have worked; even if I tweaked it a bit afterwards to make it really pop, that wasn't strictly necessary. i have a scan of the before-version too, in case it hadn't worked so well, but I'm pleased with the result so that'll just have to be a behind the scenes WIP post.
